Whiteboard or large piece of paper
This one is best for individuals
This can be inside or out
Have the players stand in a line in front of you. Write three rules on a whiteboard or sheet of paper so that everyone can see it, then say an animal and the players will need to follow the appropriate rule, fastest will win points. An example of the rules would be: 1. If it is a bird pat your head; 2. If it starts with a D stand on one leg; 3. If it has four letters touch your nose. Do all that apply.
As the game master it is extremely helpful for you to have written down exactly what they are supposed to be doing for each animal. For example, using the rules above:
Dolphin one leg
Wolf nose
Eagle head
Elephant do nothing (it's a bit of fun)
Crow nose and head
Deer one leg and nose
Duck one leg, nose and head
Dog one leg
Dove one leg, nose and head
Pidgeon head
Owl head
Fish nose
Scoring is, as always, completely arbitrary, award however many points you want to the winner (it's quite hard for one person to keep track of anything other than the first person to do it).Â
You can eliminate people if they do the wrong thing, or are the last to do it.
The actions can be anything you like. You can have more or less than 3 rules, I often have a fourth rule that applies if none of the rules apply (e.g., sit on the ground if none of these apply).
This is cruel, but after 5 or so animals I like to erase the rules from the whiteboard (suckers).
